About Lois

Born in Australia, I have lived in New Zealand since 1989. Before that, I spent twenty-three years living and working in Vienna, Austria.

I have many years’ experience of giving public presentations, organising functions and speaking to groups both large and small. During my years in Vienna, I worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency. Since arriving in New Zealand, I joined Victoria University of Wellington as Manager of the Faculty of Commerce and Administration.

I have travelled to many countries, and speak fluent German, and French (less fluently). In my Bachelor of Arts, I majored in German and Art History, with a minor interest in French.

I have been appointed as a Marriage and a Civil Union Celebrant, and am a member of the Celebrants' Association of New Zealand, currently serving as Secretary to the Wellington Branch Association.

I also serve as a Justice of the Peace.

I consider it a great honour to be involved in designing wedding and civil union ceremonies, bringing to these occasions a professional, elegant and appropriate touch that realises the hopes and expectations of the couple.
