Civil Unions

I will design your ceremony especially for you. In our discussions, I will encourage you both to make the words your own, to reflect your hopes and dreams and to be meaningful to you, your family and your friends who attend your ceremony. You may wish to include one or more appropriate readings - I will help you find something that "speaks to you and for you".

My aim is to ensure that you are free to enjoy your ceremony. I will guide you on the day, so that everything flows smoothly, your guests hear the words, and you are comfortable with the process that we have agreed upon.

A Civil Union is the formalisation of a relationship between two people in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Union Act 2004. Please be sure to look at the Department of Internal Affairs Births, Deaths and Marriages website at www.bdm.govt.nz for all the legal requirements and guidance on the process you will need to follow.
